fünf minuten stille — in German Sign Language
with live synchronisation into German spoken language
As a special project at Foyer 1 and as a continuation of the cooperation between deaf and hearing people at Schauspiel Leipzig, the sign language version of Leo Meier’s play “fünf minuten stille” is planned until December 2025. The production, which has been part of the repertoire since January 2025, will be reworked: The design remains the same, but the dialogue will be translated into German Sign Language and performed by hearing impaired actors. The cast of the original production will be synchronising the show live into German spoken language.
