Vanessa Rust

Vanessa Rust was born in Bremen in 1988 and grew up in Hamburg. She graduated in Fashion and Textile Management from the JAK Akademie in Hamburg. Several jobs at fashion companies and showrooms in Hamburg and Düsseldorf followed, along with artistic assignments for private ballet schools and art associations. From 2014 to 2017, Vanessa Rust worked as a costume assistant at Theater Dortmund and she has been working as a freelance costume designer since. At Theater Dortmund she worked with Kay Voges (“hell – ein Augenblick”), Wiebke Rüter, Julia Schubert, Ed Hauswirth and others, as well as with Michael Sieberock-Serafimowitsch and Nils Voges (Theater Dortmund, Schauspiel Essen).
