Brechtseller (DE)

The second adaptation of Brecht’s work by Chiten, this collage-style production comprised extracts from over 20 plays and poems on the themes of god, money, love, war and drama. From Brecht’s provocative words emerged a clear portrait of a humanity that rushes further ahead in a state of contradiction the more we long for something. A light rhythm track was laid like a carpet across the entire performance, accentuating the musicality of the dialogue. The language of Brecht echoed throughout this musical theatre experience in a space where sounds and voices reverberated like the inside of an old church.
