Concerts avec plusieurs Instruments V

Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons not only rank among the best-known works by this Venetian composer, but also among the most popular pieces of classical music ever. In inimitable manner, Vivaldi succeeds in translating the sweetness of spring, summer storms, autumn hunting scenes and even the numbing frost of winter into purely instrumental music. The ensemble Europa Galante compares and contrasts these masterpieces not only with a violin concerto by Bach (who was a great Vivaldi fan), but also with dramatic opera scenes by Handel and Vivaldi, sung by the soprano Roberta Invernizzi. Italian passion guaranteed!
