Silvia Bottiroli (Bologna): „Like a Möbius Strip“

In her keynote lecture, the curator and dramaturge Silvia Bottiroli examines questions about the nature of learning experiences and the role of the arts. When shifting the focus from the circulation of existing knowledge to the production of a knowledge that we cannot yet define, then forms of art making, spectatorship and gathering propose themselves as possible sites for learning. Within them, we can develop an understanding of knowledge as connected to the possibility of constantly exchanging positions and ultimately creating a movement with no differentiation between inside and outside, like in a Möbius Strip.

Bok: Practical exchange of alternative knowledge in public space
“BOK” is a nomadic classroom used by fellow learners in various public places. In its tent, BOK hosts weekly learning and listening sessions consisting of various "bodies of knowledge," people from the surrounding area or further afield who share their life knowledge on various topics that are often suppressed or invisibilized. At Residenz, one of BOK collective members Flore Herman presents the experience of a year and a half of BOK in Brussels, along with some tools and methods developed to facilitate knowledge sharing.
