Denis Petković
Denis Petković was born in Herford in 1969 and grew up in Serbia and Berlin. He trained as an actor at Hochschule für Schauspielkunst “Ernst Busch” in Berlin from 1991 to 1995 and subsequently worked at Schauspiel Essen, the Vienna Burgtheater, Volkstheater Wien and at Salzburger Festspiele. In 2004 and 2005, he was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen with Andrea Breth’s productions of “Emilia Galotti”, where he played Count Appiani and of “Don Carlos”, where he played the Marquis of Posa. Denis Petković worked with directors like Martin Kušej, Stefan Kimmig, Volker Lösch, Karin Beier, Franz Wittenbrink, Enrico Lübbe, Alexander Nerlich, Bettina Bruinier and Stephan Müller. Among his most important roles are the title role in Molière’s “Don Juan”, Karl Moor in Schiller’s “Die Räuber” and the role of Faust in Enrico Lübbe’s staging of “Urfaust”. Furthermore, he has performed in numerous film and television productions.
