Daniela Keckeis

Daniela Keckeis was born in Vorarlberg in 1981. She studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 2001 to 2005, where she worked with artists like Peter Simonischek, Klaus Maria Brandauer and Grazyna Dylag and was among the cast of the best audio-play of the year 2004, “Holzfällen” by Thomas Bernhard. Her first professional engagement took her to Landestheater Tübingen, where she featured in Brecht’s “Dreigroschenoper”, “Der Streit” by Marivaux, Shakespeare’s “Der Kaufmann von Venedig (The Merchant of Venice)” and Simon Stephens’ “Am Strand der weiten Welt (On the Shore of the Wide World)”. She was a member of the acting company at Theater Chemnitz from 2008 to 2012 and worked there as a guest actor in the following season. Among other roles, she played the title role in “Emilia Galotti”, directed by Thomas Bischoff, in “Der nackte Wahnsinn (Noises Off)”, directed by Christian Brey and the role of Salome in Claudia Bauer’s production of Oscar Wilde’s eponymous play.

Daniela Keckeis has been a member of Schauspiel Leipzig’s acting company since August 2013.
