Felix Axel Preißler

Felix Axel Preißler was born in Heidelberg in 1984. He grew up in the Palatinate, on the southern German wine route. After his training as an actor at Schauspielschule Mainz, he joined the company of Stadttheater Bamberg in the 2007/08 season and moved to Staatstheater Nürnberg in 2008. There, he worked with director Stefan Otteni several times, including a production of “Kontrakte des Kaufmanns” by Elfriede Jelinek and performances of Viola/Cesario in Shakespeare’s “Was Ihr wollt (Twelfth Night)” and Gregor/Jonatan in “Immer noch Sturm” by Peter Handke. Felix Axel Preißler works closely with the young director Michael Schlecht. Their joint projects include the Boy in “Der Schnüffler” by Rolf Kemnitzer and the solo performance “Verloren ins weite Blau – ein Abend für Georg Heym”. Preißler has also acted in several productions directed by Christoph Mehler; he has played Ferdinand in Schiller’s “Kabale und Liebe”, Andres in “Woyzeck” by Georg Büchner and Lövborg in “Hedda Gabler” by Henrik Ibsen.

Felix Axel Preißler was a company member of Schauspiel Leipzig from August 2013 to season 2019/2020 and is still working as guest at Schauspiel Leipzig.
