Anna Keil

Anna Keil was born in Bad Waldsee in 1984. After graduating from school, she studied first at the Akademie der Künste in Ulm and then at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock. At the Theatertreffen deutschsprachiger Schauspielstudierender (Conference of German language acting students), she received the Solo-Award for her performance in the role of Nastya in Maxim Gorki’s “Nachtasyl”, directed by Anja Pause. She was a guest actor in the world premiere of “Satt” by Marianna Salzmann at Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel München and from 2010 to 2013, she was a member of the company at Schauspiel Nürnberg, where she played Ophelia in William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”, the title role in Ibsen’s “Hedda Gabler” and featured in Peter Handke’s “Immer noch Sturm”. She has worked with directors Christoph Mehler, Georg Schmiedleitner, Stefan Otteni and others.

Anna Keil was a company member of Schauspiel Leipzig from August 2013 to season 2019/2020 and is still working as guest at Schauspiel Leipzig.
