with texts of Ada Berger and Liv Strömquist

LE VENT SE LÈVE
A man whirls in the storm, exposed to irrepressible forces. Or does he himself decide between abyss and take-off, surrender and rebellion? At the limits of balance, Manuel Roque performs true masterpieces of physicality and poses elementary questions about our relationship to nature.

In an intimate ritual, two athletic dancers challenge their own bodies as much as the laws of gravity. Between martyrdom and ecstasy, BANG BANGquestions our concept of beauty, resistance and solidarity as well as the meaning and absurdity of our existence.

ALIENATION III
With Follow-up discussion
In his performance ALIENATION III, Ugandan choreographer Robert Ssempijja explores the colonial traces in the architecture of his home city of Kampala, which can be traced back to designs by German architect Ernst May. Using symbols such as street signs, he stages the feeling of alienation and examines how colonial urban planning still affects social life today.

ME TOO, GALATÉE
Critical, sensual, liberating: the Brazilian Pol Pi combines the myth of Pygmalion and Galatea with the Me Too movement by hanging himself with fruit to undermine gender boundaries, tropical clichés and patriarchal images of women. A subtle dance of projections.

AMAZONEN
Using Lego figures, landscape models, live video, and protest images from the internet, the female storyteller brings the ancient myth of the Amazons to life for children aged six to twelve. The performance sparks a peer-led conversation about gender, justice, and resistance: Who were the Amazons — and who are the Amazons of today?

In his electrifying solo BATTY BWOY, Norwegian-Jamaican choreographer and performer Harald Beharie reclaims a homophobic slur to create a multi-layered creature – a being caught between fragility and power, tenderness and wildness, desire and defiance. The visceral and award-winning choreography unravels and reimagines myths, clichés, and fantasies surrounding Black queer bodies with fierce vulnerability and subversive joy.
